If you would like to combine your camping experience with
a chance to stay in a lovely state park, then head to Monte Sano
State Park, follow US 431 east to top of mountain and follow
signs, 5105 Nolen Ave, 256-534-6589. The campground features
rustic cottages, a primitive camping area, an RV camping area
with 85 camper hookups (21 full), bath houses, a play ground,
picnic areas, hiking trails, a planetarium, an outdoor amphitheater,
and country store. Because of its popularity they do recommend
reservations.
