If having a phone hookup at your site is important to you, try the De Anza Harbor Resort, 2727 De Anza Rd., San Diego, 800-924-PLAY. Here you'll find 245 sites next to the Mission Bay Golf Course, handicap restrooms, laundry, tables, grills, salt water swimming, fishing, and planned activities. You'll also find phone hookups at the award winning San Diego Metro KOA, 111 N 2nd Ave, Chula Vista, 800-762-CAMP. They also feature 270 sites, pull-thrus, landscaping, and public transit from the park.
Like staying in a smaller, more intimate park, then one of our American Journeys RVers recommends you check out the Escondido RV Resort, 1740 Seven Oaks Rd, 760-740-5000. Their sixty seven sites offer full hookups, patios, and lots of shade. They also have a modem hookup in the office so you can check your email, a recreation room with big screen TV, a pool, spa, laundry room, and showers.
If you prefer parks that are outside the major metro area, you may want to check out the Sacred Rocks Reserve & RV Park, 1331 Shasta Way, Boulevard, CA, 619-766-4480. Here you will find full hookups. some shade, fire circles, showers, laundry, a camp store, swimming pool, hiking paths and club house. Please note they do have some pet restrictions.
