1 Civic Center Plaza, 860-522-9094. If you've been looking for
that special piece of antique or estate jewelry, they have one
of the largest selections in the New England area. If you don't
find what you want there, you can try your luck at Bacon Antiques,
95 Maples Ave, 860-524-0040; The Jumping Frog, 585 Prospect Ave,
860-523-1622; and Summit Hill A to Z Antiques, 455 Zion St.,
860-547-1921.
You'll also find lots of neat shopping downtown. CityPlace,
185 Asylum St., 860-275-4444, houses 50+ stores, 19+ restaurants,
and offices, and is connected to the Civic Center Mall and the
Pratt Street boutiques via skywalks. Also in downtown, you'll
find the Pavilion at State House Square, next to the Old State
House. As you wander the halls of this restored art deco building,
