If you want to do some upscale shopping head to the toney Buckhead area, north of Atlanta, where you'll find 1,000 retail stores and 200 restaurants and night clubs waiting to entertain you and your credit card. Now if you are going to be in town during the 2nd weekend of the month, you need to check out Lakewood Antiques. This is a huge monthly sale with 1,500 dealers from around the country scattered over 13 acres.

As you wander through this downtown area you'll find it has been turned into an artist haven with contemporary artists and craftspeople offering their creations in the little shops and galleries scattered throughout town. Lennox Square had more than 200 specially shops and restaurants, plus Macys, Rich's, and Atlanta's only Neiman Marcus.
