A fun place to start your shopping tour is Frankfort Avenue, between Mellwood Ave and Cannons Lane. Here you'll find neat shops like Henderson Antiques, Pottery Rowe, Elizabeth's Timeless Attire, Once Again Gently Used Books, Woodford Landing Miniatures, and the Home Textile Outlet. As you walk along and feel your tummy begin to growl from all this shopping exercise don't worry. You'll soon run into neat restaurants including Nancy's Bagle Grounds.

Another fun street to explore is Bardstown Road, starting at Baxter Avenue and Broadway. Here you'll be tempted by businesses with names like the Jewel Box, Clodhoppers, As Time Goes By, Tin Horse Antiques, and All Booked Up. For treats to keep your strength up you can choose from Cafe Metro and the Uptown Cafe.

Sewers will want to take the time to explore Baer Fabrics, 515 E Market St, 502-583-5521, where they'll find lots of goodies. To purchase wonderful handcrafts that will look great in your home and also help a kid stay in college, drop by Berea College Heritage Crafts, 140 N 4th St., 502-589-3707. If you don't find what you are looking for there drop by the Kentucky Art and Craft Gallery, 609 West Main Street, 502-589-0102. They bill themselves as having the largest selection of Kentucky crafts in the worlds so if you don't find something to please you here, maybe you'd better give up.

If antiques are your weakness, then you need to head to the Louisville Antique Mall, 900 Goss Ave, 503-635-2852, where you'll find over 70,000 square feet of antiques and collector items to tempt you, plus a cafe to revive you when you swoon. Other fun stop is the Swan St. Antique Mall, 947 E Breckenridge St., 502-584-6255.

Are your milk and eggs getting a little lonely in the fridge? Then you need to grab your coupons and buy them some friends at the Winn-Dixie Food Store, 5252 Bardstown Rd, 502-499-6382; the Kroger Grocery Store, 2440 Bardstown Rd, 502-459-9805; or Wal-Mart, 1915 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, 502-499-1050.
