You'll also enjoy knowing that the land on which this campground now sits was given to the Morris family in a 1773 land grant. Another choice, that puts you between Baltimore and Washington, DC, is the Little Bennett Regional Park, 23701 Frederick Rd., Clarksburg, MD, 301-972-9222. Here you'll find wooded sites, a 18-hole golf course and driving range, wide sites, electric hookups, restrooms, dump, laundry, tables, grills, playground, horseshoes, and hiking trails. Though this camp has been recommended because it is clean and well-maintained it does not have room for slideouts and is only open April 1 through October 31.
