along Charles Street, 200 to 900 blocks. Here you'll find the
Washington Monument, and neat shops like Louie's Book Store Cafe,
Beadazzled, and A People United. If you get lost, just look for
one of the Public Safety Guides in the black jackets with the
purple and gold shoulder patches. You'll find more unique stores
in the Market Center area, bounded by Franklin, Liberty, Baltimore,
and Greene Streets. The 400 merchants in this area pride themselves
in offering culturally diverse specialty goods and ethnic foods.
You'll find lots to tempt you as your explore the 140 food
stalls selling goodies like sweet crab cakes, corned beef sandwiches,
and still warm cookies at the Lexington Market, 400 W Lexington
St., 410-685-6169. You'll find the area's largest farmer's market
at Holiday and Saratoga Streets. Open on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m.,
this market features fresh produce, herbs, flowers, and plants.
If antiques are your weakness head to Antique Row, 700 block
of North Howard Street. Here about 75 dealers have banded together
to tempt you with all kinds of American and European antiques.
Craft lovers will enjoy stopping at Angeline's Art Gallery, 1631
Thames St., Brown's Wharf, 410-522-7909. While bargain hunters
won't mind making the drive to the Tanger Factory Outlet Center,

Hat lovers will enjoy browsing at Hats In The Belfry, 201 E Pratt
St, 410-528-0060. Besides Hats In The Belfry, you'll find 125
other fun stores, restaurants, galleries, and side walk cafes
in this redeveloped 6-block harbor area. If you get hungry while
in the area drop in at the the Cheesecake Factory, 201 E Pratt
St, 410-234-3990, for a piece of cheesecake big enough to split!
