TIPS FOR TRAVELERS

If you are planning your trip during the fall, be advised that snow can start falling any time after early October, though Old Man Winter doesn't usually arrive in full force until late in November. Also with an annual average daily high of 54 degrees and low of 44, you're going to want to pack some cuddly clothes no matter when you plan your trip.

Since so many Canadians make the short trip to Bangor for shopping and fun don't be surprised to hear some different accents during your stay. If you're lucky you'll know more about Canada and have some new friends by the time you leave town.

If you are traveling with furry companions, you'll be glad to know that you can get help at the Penobsco Veterinary Hospital, 411 Davis Rd., 207-947-6783; or the Broadway Veterinary Clinic, 1135 Broadway, 207-942-2281.
