For fun you can take advantage of their miles of walking and biking trails, 16 acres of freshwater lakes, family water playground, pedal boat and kayak rentals, bike rentals, playground areas, crabbing dock, spray fountain play area, snack bar, and 10 acres of open meadows. It is one of the nicest parks Jim and I have visited!
The Fains Campground, 6309 Fain St., 843-744-1005, will spoil you with their on-site phone hookups, pull-thrus, and full hookups. Since this is a small park, reservations are recommended. If you like KOA's, you'll find the Charleston KOA at 9494 Highway 78, Ladson, SC, 800-489-4293. They offer full hookups, Kamping Kabins, showers, a pool, a playground, and pull-thrus.
