TIPS FOR TRAVELERS

Many of the sights in this area closed during the winter or have shorter hours. If you are traveling during these months be sure and call the sights you most want to see to insure that you won't be disappointed.

Tennessee has one of the strictest DUI laws in the country. First offenders receive a minimum of 48 hours in jail, a 30-day suspended sentence, 11 months and 29 days probation, a $250.00 fine plus court cost, and lose their license for one year. If they had a child under 12 years of age in the car when caught, they could be charged with felony child endangerment.

Are you traveling with little fur babies? Then you'll be glad to know that, in case of an emergency, you can contact the vets at the Animal Emergency Service, 1717 Schaeffer Rd., 865- 691-8387; or the Grove's Animal Hospital, 724 S Peters Rd., 865-694-8387.
