Jim and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paradise Park RV
Resort, 1201 N Expressway 77, Harlingen, reservations 956-425-6881,
800-425-1201. They have paved roads, 294 paved sites, neat patios
with cabana covers, all pull-thrus, full hookups, a pool and
spa, recreation hall, shuffleboard courts, exercise classes,
pancake breakfast every Saturday morning, card room, pool room,
arts and crafts, library, beauty parlor, laundry, showers, and
planned activities.
One of our American Journeys RVers loves spending time at
the Valley Grande RV & Mobile Home Park, 4101 West Expressway,
McAllen, TX, 956-686-8144, and thinks you will too. Here you'll
find full hookups, cable TV, phone with activation, laundry,
recreation hall, and planned activities.
Another of our American Journeys RVers can't wait to get back
to the La Floresta RV Park & Golf Course, FM491, Mercedes,
TX, 956-565-6314. They loved this 91 space park because it's
size gave them a chance to meet almost everyone and have lots
of fun at all the social activities. This is an adult seasonal
park between Harlingen and McAllen.
Another great park in Mercedes is the Llano
Grande Lake Park Resort and Country Club, 489 Yolanda St,
956-565-2638. Here you will find full hookups, free high speed
internet at all sites, an exercise room, wood working and carving
shop, an activity building, computer room, stain glass room,
2 lighted tennis courts, pool, and all kinds of activities.
A stay at the Tropic Winds RV Resort, 1510 N Loop 499, Harlingen,
800-458-6086, 956-423-4020, will give you a chance to enjoy large
level sites with cement patios, a recreation hall, library with
modem hoookup, pool, spa, miniature golf, shuffle board, and
planned activities. You'll also find cement patios at Paul's
RV Park, 1129 N Minnesota Ave, 956-831-4852, along with pull-thrus
some with shade, full hookups, cable TV, Wi-Fi, a heated pool
& hot tub, restrooms, laundry, a club house, and activities
and tours in season.
