to Matamoros, Mexico. At their Old Marketplace you'll find hand-crafted
items, onyx, chess sets, hand-crafted glass menageries, serapes,
leather goods, and embroidered Mexican dresses. Before you start
whipping out your wallet though, it's a good idea to look around
and watch others haggle with the shopkeepers. Once you think
you've got the hang of how it's done, jump in there and start
shopping.
If you love oranges and "Ruby Red" pink grapefruit,
you'll want to plan your trip during citrus season, December-March,
when some of the local groves will even let you pick your own.
If you'd rather have someone else do the work stop by Ferris
Valley Groves, Hwy. 107, 956-412-6139, 800-748-7182. Want to
treat someone back home to some yummy fresh fruit? Ferris Valley
Groves well be glad to deliver right to their door.
Do you like the convenience offered by shopping malls? Then
you'll enjoy the Amigolland Mall, 301 Mexico Street, Brownsville,
956-546-3788, where you'll find stores like Dillards Department
Store, 956-546-4581. Brownsville also has the Sunrise Mall, 2370
N Exp., Brownsville, 956-541-5302. Here you'll find over 100
specialty stores as well as a large food court.

your campground neighbors jealous.
